A fronto leaf is a large leaf from the tobacco plant, specifically the species Nicotiana tabacum. It is commonly used as a natural wrapper for hand-rolled cigars or as a tobacco filler in certain types of cigar blends. Fronto leaves are known for their unique texture, flavor, and strength, and are typically grown in tropical regions such as the Caribbean and Central America. They vary in color from light to dark brown, and their size can range from about six to ten inches in length. Fronto leaves are also used in some cultures for medicinal purposes, such as for treating pain or insect bites.

Smoking and using as a wrap:

The first time using a fronto leaf can be intimidating but trust us, it’s pretty easy once you try it! Once you receive your beautiful large fronto leaf, take it out of it’s package and unfold. Please be gentle with your leaf as you do not want to rip it by accident. Once your leaf is unfolded, identify which area of the leaf you’d like to use. Use the leaf’s natural veins as a guide of where to cut or tear. Each Gorilla Leaf will provide you with multiple wrappers (up to 20) and you can use it to wrap XL cigars or blunts, it’s totally up to you!

Once you’ve successfully cut or ripped the portion of leaf you’d like to use, fold your leaf backup and seal it in its original package, squeeze the air out of the package and store in a cool place, out of sunlight.

If at any time your leaf feels stiff or dry, no worries! Lightly spray or add salva to your leaf to bring it back to a pliable state. Your leaf will last up to 90 days if stored and handled correctly.

Drinking it and/ or savoring it as a tea:

There are ancient ways to use tobacco leaves. Indigenous people found many ways to use and uplift the tobacco plant. One important way was to steep the leaf and drink it.

Instructions:
Cut up to 2-4 strips of your Gorilla Leaf and set aside.
Grab a paper towel and gently dampen it. Then wipe down the leaf to ensure its clean and ready to consume. You will need a unused tea bag or tea leaf holder.
Heat your water and place Gorilla Leaf strips in bag or holder.
Steep for up to 4 minutes.
Flavor with natural honey and lemon.

Traditional tobacco products may have chemicals and other harmful ingredients. In a recent study, some tobacco wraps contained manufactured blends of inseparable wood pulp, tobacco pulp, and gums. The Gorilla Leaf does not apply any chemicals, finishes, or flavors to its products to ensure the freshest and healthiest fronto leaf option for our customers.

If properly stored in its original packaging and kept out of direct sunlight, your Gorilla Leaf can last a really long time! Up to 60 days is the typical shelf-life for a Gorilla Leaf when stored correctly. Expert tip: moisturize your leaf if it becomes dry to increase its overall shelf life. You can also store it in your refrigerator for maximum shelf life.
